From its beginnings as part of a vaudeville circuit in 1927, to its current incarnation as a magnet for top-notch performers, artists, educational programs, and inspiration, Sioux City’s Orpheum Theatre has long been an important part of our community’s cultural life. Since re-opening in 2001, the Orpheum has served hundreds of thousands of patrons and is a source of incredible pride for our community.

Our friends and neighbors in Siouxland and visitors from all over the country have been awed by the theatre’s crystal chandeliers, ornate ceilings, magnificent proscenium, gold leaf stenciling, and architectural features. Its splendor is almost as much a part of the show as the entertainers on its stage!

Yet, being a historic building, the Orpheum requires regular maintenance and restoration in order to survive. Therefore tax-deductible contributions from our friends and patrons are a vital source of funding for programming and the continued operations of this magnificent theatre.

If you would like to make a donation to help keep this theatre beautiful and vital for this and for future generations to continue to enjoy, you can do so by sending a tax-deductible donation to:
